The Bank of Namibia on Wednesday decided to keep the repo rate unchanged at 3.75 percent, its governor, Johannes !Gawaxab, said at the Monetary Policy Announcement in the capital. Nampa reports that !Gawaxab said it remains appropriate to continue supporting domestic economic activity while safeguarding the one-to-one link between the Namibia Dollar and the South African Rand. Inflation declined during the first nine months of 2020 and is projected to remain subdued for the rest of 2020 and 2021, while the rate of growth in the Private Sector Credit Extension declined during the first eight months of 2020,”!Gawaxab said.
