Government and unions are set to clash at the Labour Court in Johannesburg tomorrow over the ongoing public sector wage dispute. Mboweni says at this stage due to the fiscal crisis South Africa cannot afford a wage agreement with civil servants. He adds that if the country does not tackle its spending it may face the same fate as that of Zambia, which defaulted on its Eurobonds.
