The South African police arrested a total of 202 suspects for cash-in-transit related crimes, recovered 178 high-performance vehicles and 104 firearms since February 2020, said National Commissioner of Police Khehla Sitole on Tuesday. Xinhua News reports that Sitole was giving an update about the cash-in-transit crimes following the establishment of the task team to deal with such cases across the country in February 2020. He said the team managed to arrest the top 13 most-wanted criminals, recovered 59 pistols and 48 rifles.
