South African based Kasada Capital Management has announced the acquisition of the 215 room Safari Court Hotel, the 199 room Safari Hotel, and the Safari Court Conference Centre, with the acquisition subject to approval by the Namibian Competition Commission. Kasada plans to rebrand and refurbish the hotels utilizing the management skills, expertise and marketing resources available from its strategic partnership with French multinational hospitality group Accor and will commit N$100m to this end. This rebranding will see the Safari Court Hotel converted to a Mövenpick Hotel, the Safari Hotel become an Ibis Styles economy hotel, and a further improvement to the existing conference facilities.
