The South African National Editors’ Forum has strongly condemned the unlawful intimidation of eNCA journalists, allegedly by EFF supporters, at a protest in Tokai, Cape Town. According to Sanef, the supporters harassed and prevented eNCA journalists from doing their jobs, including through physical and verbal threats. News24 reports though that the Western Cape EFF chairperson dismissed Sanef’s claims, saying they did not intimidate anyone. He added though that they had decided they were going to “humble” the media house after eNCA journalists decided not to cover their national assembly conference.
