The Electoral Commission says everything is on track for tomorrow’s by-elections which will take place in 95 wards across 55 municipalities. Newsflash reports that Chief electoral officer, Sy Mamabolo, says these elections should have taken place between March and September but lockdown regulations made it impossible. More than 20-thousand voters will be able to cast a special vote. At least 600-thousand voters are registered to vote. He explains that measures are in place to uphold all the necessary Covid-19 protocols in the 445 voting stations.
