The National Assembly’s Standing Committee on Privileges has summoned Landless People’s Movement deputy leader, Henny Seibeb for a hearing on May 18th over a chaotic incident that took place in April during President Hage Geingob’s State of the Nation Address. The Namibia press agency reports that at the hearing, which Seibeb is legal compelled to attend, he is expected to give evidence and answer questions regarding the events that transpired on 15 April in the NA chambers. When contacted Seibeb said he had received the letter but could not comment on whether he will attend the hearing or not.
