Minister of Health and Social Services, Dr. Kalumbi Shangula, has warned that if the rate at which COVID-19 cases are increasing in Namibia remains the same, the country will record 44 472 new positive cases and 1 308 deaths by the end of 2021.“The increasing number of cases exert pressure on our public health system,” he said, noting that members of the public are flagrantly disobeying the set COVID-19 regulations and by doing so, putting their families and communities as well as the country at risk.“We must decide to change our behaviour and outlook collectively and individually and take this pandemic seriously,” Shangulawarned.
