The Bank of Namibia has said the socio-economic situation in the two Kavango regions is a cause for concern, especially against the backdrop of the untapped potential in the sectors of agriculture, tourism and, manufacturing. The Namibia Press Agency reports that BoN’s deputy director of strategic communication and financial sector development Kazembire Zemburuka on Monday said the bank has submitted to the Ministry of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform and relevant stakeholders recommendations centered on sustainable funding and management of the green schemes, timber manufacturing, cattle marketing, horticultural production and investment in renewable energy.
