Two members of the Namibian Defence Force were arrested on Saturday for theft, possession of firearms, dealing in firearms, and defeating the course of justice after they allegedly attempted to sell an AK-47 in Windhoek. The Namibia press agency quotes Namibian Police Force spokesperson, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, as saying that when questioned, the main suspect allegedly revealed that he had stolen seven more guns between 2018 and 2021, and that it is further alleged that various firearms are missing from the weapons store.
