With fuel pump prices in Namibia increasing by 50c/litre for both petrol and diesel in April, the Automobile Association in South Africa has warned of even larger increases there. Fin24 quotes the AA as predicting increases of up to R1 per litre for petrol, and 66 cents per litre for diesel. This the AA says is not only due to the fluctuation in the price of oil and exchange rates but also the additional 27 cents to the General Fuel Levy and Road Accident Fund levies announced by Finance Minister Tito Mboweni in February that come into effect in April.
