South African President Cyril Ramaphosa delivered an address last night, tightening restrictions in light of rising Covid-19 infections. In terms of these restrictions, South Africa will see a curfew imposed from 10pm to 4am with non-essential establishments such as restaurants, bars, and fitness centers having to close by 9pm, gatherings limited to 50 people indoors and 100 outdoors, and the sale of alcohol from retail outlets for off-site consumption only permitted between 10am and 6pm from Monday to Thursday.
