Minister of Sports, Youth and National Service Agnes Tjongarero on Tuesday undertook a one-day familiarisation visit to the Kunene Region during which she also visited the regional youth and sports office and the town council chambers to try to find a long-lasting solution to the lack of sports facilities in the region. The Namibia press agency quotes Tjongarero as calling on all constituency youth forums, including various line ministries, regional councils and local authorities to pull in the same direction in terms of sporting events, funding, and hosting of seminars before engaging the ministry. She also urged the youth to get out of their comfort zones and venture to other areas of the country for other opportunities, adding that they are missing out on a lot in the outside world all in the name of being afraid of suffering.
