The lifeless body of a woman who was discovered on Thursday in a riverbed near the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Katutura was over the weekend identified as 28-year-old Charmaine Saron. A police crime report, which quoted family members as saying that she had last been seen when she left home at about 11:45pm on Wednesday, indicated that the deceased was a resident of Rehoboth, who according to a sister only came to Windhoek three weeks ago to attend nursing assistant classes. According to a post-mortem she was stabbed 24 times. No arrests have so far been made and police investigations into the matter continue.
