The Suisse Secrets investigations – released by the Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project and over 45 media outlets – have revealed previously unknown breaches, dubious clients, and the volume of dirty money recycled by one of Switzerland’s largest banks, Credit Suisse. Transparency International reports that leaked confidential documents reportedly show that Credit Suisse banked with high-risk clients – for years – despite significant red flags, and continued to do so even after the bank pledged to crack down on shady money. An additional investigation by the OCCRP also exposes the bank’s continued promotion of secrecy to specifically attract customers with suspicious funds.
