Trade Unions are up in arms over the announcement by finance minister Iipumbu Shiimi that cuts will be introduced to the state’s medical fund Psemas. Shiimi justified the cut by saying that it will save the government 1 billion Namibia dollars in the next two financial years.  Mahongora Kavihuha, the secretary general of the Trade Union Congress of Namibia says the minister should have first consulted with unions.
