The UK’s High Court has ruled that the government ‘unlawfully’ discharged covid-19 patients to care homes without testing. Judges said that the government failed to take into account the risk to residents inside care homes from non-symptomatic transmissions. Two women, both of who lost their fathers due to covid-19 in care homes, brought the case against the government. They said the government failed to protect the elderly. Prime Minister Boris Johnson commented on the ruling in the House of Commons after the ruling.
