Following Liz Truss’s announcement on Thursday that she would step down, the Conservative Party’s beginning the process of choosing a new leader, who’ll also become the next UK Prime Minister. The winner will be chosen by next Friday – and Conservative MP Robert Halfon says the party has to get it right.

The current frontrunners for the position include: former Prime Minister Boris Johnson, former Chancellor Rishi Sunak, and current cabinet minister Penny Mordaunt.
