United Nations World Tourism Organisation Secretary-General Zurab Pololikashvili on Monday paid a courtesy visit to President Hage Geingob ahead of the regional tourism and Brand Africa conference on Tuesday. Pololikashvili said the conference is an important and historical step for Africa, particularly Namibia, during the trying times to revive the tourism sector from the COVID-19 pandemic. “The conference aims to position Africa as a safe destination not only for tourists, but for international investors,” he said.
