Nearly half the women surveyed in 57 developing countries are denied the right to decide whether or not to have sex with their partners, use contraception, or seek healthcare, according to a new report by the United Nations. In its annual State of the World Population report, released on Wednesday,  the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) has for the first time focused on women’s autonomy over their own bodies.
