United Nations Resident Representative in Namibia, Sen Pang, on Wednesday paid a courtesy call on President Hage Geingob. The Namibia Press Agency reports that Pang informed Geingob of the UN’s 2021 key priority areas for Namibia which include strengthening health systems, enhancing social protection and economic prosperity. He explained that strengthening health systems is the first priority and will focus on the national coronavirus vaccination programme. The UN representative also said efforts will be made with SMEs to create job opportunities and special focus will be placed on reversing the decline in food production.
