The head of Texas’s Department of Public Safety, Colonel Steven McCraw was testifying in front of a State Senate hearing about his office’s investigation into the attack which killed 19 children and 2 teachers, described the police response to last month’s elementary school shooting in Uvalde Texas as “An abject failure”.
