President of the Popular Democratic Movement, McHenry Venaani has given the government 25 days to allocate the 890 unoccupied houses constructed under the mass housing programme at Walvis Bay or face a mass demonstration. Venaani, in a letter addressed to Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila said it has been seven years since the houses were half or fully built, attributing the daily growth of informal settlements to the government’s failure in addressing the issue of the lack of decent and affordable housing.
