The Walvis Bay Municipality and stakeholders hosted a Tourism Forum meeting, under the theme- Destination Walvis Bay: Building a resilient Brand for Walvis Bay. The aim is to promote the town to both local and foreign tourists, with Mayor Trevino Forbes saying the emphasis would be put on things such as the town’s re-branding and mapping, as well as improving safety and security for tourists.
