Western Cape Premier, Alan Winde, has come out in support of the Congress of South African Trade Unions’ call for more jobs and an end to corruption. Cosatu members marched to the premier’s office to hand over a memorandum of grievances and demands as part of the union federation’s national protest action on Wednesday and while accepting the memorandum, Winde said more than 300-thousand jobs were lost in the province during lockdown and that the national government needs to do more to address unemployment in the country. He also promised to respond to the federation’s demands within 14 days.
