WhatsApp is introducing new privacy features that will be rolled out to users, and one of them is that the app will finally let people sneak out of group chats quietly to avoid the awkwardness of having to leave publicly. So, instead of alerting the full group when a member leaves, only admins will be notified. Business Insider South Africa reports that users will also be able to choose who can see them when they’re online. WhatsApp’s new features are aimed at protecting user privacy, the Meta-owned app says both these features will be rolled out to all users within the month.
