World Athletics president Sebastian Coe says it is standing firm on its decision regarding female athletes with differences in sexual development competing in races ranging from 400 metres to a mile, which would require South Africa’s Caster Semenya to undergo dangerous medical procedures to lower her testosterone levels if she wants to defend her 800-meter gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics next year. This as Coe says they are aware of Semenya’s application to the European Court of Human Rights.
