World Habitat Day, celebrated on the first Monday of October each year, is a time to reflect on the state of all towns and cities, and on the basic right of all to adequate shelter. The Day is intended to remind the world that we all have the power and the responsibility to shape the future of our cities and towns and that having an adequate home is now, more than ever, a matter of life and death. Minister of Urban and Rural Development Erastus Uutoni explained to Future Media News that housing for all is what his Ministry if striving for.
