Vice president of the Swapo Party, Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwah said students who have graduated from the agricultural fields of study should revive some of the green schemes in the Kavango regions that have collapsed, insisting that the country cannot wait on investors from outside to revive the schemes. Nandi-Ndaitwah called on the youth make use of government’s funding programmes and credit schemes as well as other financial programmes from institutions such as the Bank of Namibia to this end. Meanwhile speaking at a different event, Minister of Agriculture, Water and Land Reform, Calle Schlettwein said most of the green schemes in the Omusati Region are under-producing due to management issues and are in need of improvement.
