Former South African President Jacob Zuma has pleaded not guilty to corruption charges which have been put to him in the High Court in Pietermaritzburg in KwaZulu-Natal. Newsflash reports that Thales also pleaded not guilty to all charges. State prosecutor Billy Downer read out the 16 charges of corruption, fraud, racketeering, and money laundering to Zuma and French arms dealer Thales. The case is expected to be postponed, giving the prosecution time to reply to Zuma’s application for Downer’s recusal.
